Give Warmth this #GivingTuesday

Fueling a Pop-Up Care Village does more than cover the cost of meals, haircuts, or supplies. It creates the first ripple in a much larger story that continues long after the event ends.

This Giving Tuesday we’re teaming up with Barger Property Ventures to fuel our Season of Warmth Pop-Up Care Village. Every dollar donated on December 2nd will be matched up to $5,000. That means you serve double the meals, give double the haircuts, help double the guests, and make double the days. 

And when you give to Make-A-Day, you’re not just funding an event. You’re funding what happens after the event, the moments when guests realize that someone kept their word, followed up, and showed up again.

What your donation actually makes possible

Yes, in the short term, your gift helps us buy burgers, water bottles, combs, capes, hairspray, and all the things that make our Pop-Up Care Village run. But that’s only the first ripple.

Your donation becomes:

• Two team members calling around to local resources to secure a food box and delivering it to a guest.

• A guest feeling safe enough to say, “I think I’m ready to start treatment.”

• Someone finds clothes that make them feel confident walking into an interview.

• A guest getting help applying for SNAP and Medicaid right there, right then.

• A moment of dignity for someone who hasn’t been treated with gentleness in a long time.

And often, that ripple leads to moments like this: "I haven’t looked in a mirror in months. I forgot what I looked like. This...it helps me feel like myself again."
