Our Impact

Impact at MAD is not about the number of people we serve but about what changes for them. We track the barriers we remove, the milestones people reach, and the time it takes to get there, because that is what actually tells the story of whether this work is working.

By the Numbers

60,000+ meals shared since 2018

12,000+ essentials distributed (clothing, hygiene supplies)

Hundreds of guests connected to housing and employment

500+ volunteers engaged

100+ legal engagements completed through Move the Box since October 2025

6 to 10 Pop-Up Care Villages per year, 150-250 guests each

What we are building toward

We are building a more detailed, public-facing impact system that tracks time-to-stability milestones, barrier removal, and long-term outcomes for the people we serve. As that system launches, this page will be updated to reflect what we are learning.

In the meantime, you can read our most recent Annual Report for a full picture of MAD's work.

What We Measure and Why

MAD tracks impact across three stages of the stability pathway:

Stabilize

Are people receiving consistent, dignified care and building trust with our team?

Restore

Are guests making progress on specific barriers, including ID recovery, benefits activation, healthcare access, and housing navigation?

Advance

Are people reaching key milestones, including legal clearance, employment placement, and housing stability?

We also track barrier patterns across our caseload to identify where the system itself needs to change, not just where individuals need more support.
