Pop-Up Care Villages

Make-A-Day transforms empty lots, parks, and community spaces into “pop-up care villages” where neighbors can find food, clothing, haircuts, and connection, all free of charge. These events are powered by volunteers, barbers and stylists, healthcare providers, and partner organizations who come together to meet people where they are.

For our guests, a hot meal or haircut is often the first step in rebuilding trust and reconnecting with community. From there, we help link people to housing, healthcare, legal aid, employment resources, and more.

For many guests, the care they receive at a pop-up is the beginning of something bigger, a chance to feel seen, to build trust, and to start taking steps toward stability with the right support behind them.
