A snowflake meal: Creating unique experiences starting with a meal

Yes, we’ve heard your requests that Alex and Jesse partner with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg to release the cookbook to put all cookbooks to shame. I’ve had to turn away Martha’s agents four times just this month.

All jokes aside, one of our more frequently asked questions is, “What’s Make-A-Day Sauce?”. Because by the time I’m asked this question the sauce has been tinkered so much, no one knows what to call it. I try to think of every descriptor I’ve ever heard on Food Network, “It has a mayo base, very savory, but not spicy. It’s very light and refreshing. A hint of ranch, but very mild and creamy.” I usually just end up saying, “I promise you, it’s good.” As a self- proclaimed picky eater, I couldn’t imagine ever eating something without knowing what was in it, but that’s become common practice now.

Part of Make-A-Day’s goal is to cultivate genuine and unique relationships with all of our guests. Jesse and Alex do this every week with what has been coined “Snowflake Meals”.

Meals from the Make-A-Day food truck deemed “Snowflake Meals” are so unique, they can never be recreated. From the sauce, to the toppings, to the seasoning everything is unique to that meal. So, we can’t release a recipe book, because we don’t have any.

Alex and Jesse work hard to make sure our guests aren’t forced to eat the same meal each week, and add personal touches to the tried and true comfort food our guests love. It’s their own way of treating each guest as an individual.

Our mission at Make-A-Day has always been to foster genuine connections with our guests, and offer services that are unique to the guest and their circumstances, but I bet you never guessed this went all the way back to the food we serve. Everything we do, centers around the guest, never to be formulated, recreated, or copy pasted. Just like a snowflake.

Volunteer at a Pop-Up event to see how we cultivate unique relationships with each of our guests and form some of your own.
