Uniting the community to empower individuals and create pathways to opportunity in Central Ohio.

Welcome to Make-A-Day (MAD), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in central Ohio, where we believe everyone deserves dignity, connection, and the chance to thrive. Since 2018, our mission has been to create spaces of care, community, and opportunity through outreach, advocacy, education, and everyday acts of kindness.

Inspired by the legacy of our founders’ grandfather, Ralph Emrich, who spent his life serving others through food distribution, prison ministry, and refugee support, MAD meets people where they are: physically, emotionally, and socially. Our pop-up care villages, mobile outreach, and MAD Solutions programs are designed to foster trust and build relationships while addressing both immediate needs and long-term goals.

We focus on connecting people with pathways for skill-building, employment, and housing, while always centering their goals, strengths, and potential. At the heart of our work is a commitment to walk alongside our neighbors, honor their stories, and celebrate every step forward. Alongside this, we meet immediate needs with nutritious meals, clothing, and essentials, recognizing that trust and stability grow when people feel seen, cared for, and supported in the ways they need most.

We believe true community change happens through connection, and that when people are supported with care, respect, and opportunities, they can write their own path toward stability.

7th Annual Make-A-Day Caleb B. Cooperrider Cup Golf

The 7th annual golf outing directly supports Make-A-Day’s mission to provide homeless street outreach and critical support services across Central Ohio. By participating in this outing, you help us expand our outreach, offer housing solutions, and provide essential resources to those experiencing homelessness in our community. Grab three friends for a fun day on the course, and consider becoming a sponsor for the event.
